A Whole-Person Approach

Symptoms rarely exist in isolation. Trouble focusing may connect to poor sleep, ongoing stress, low mood, or a physical health concern. Anxiety can be shaped by caffeine, schedule, and the pressures of work or study. Care at Fall Bloom Mental Health looks at how these pieces fit together rather than addressing a single symptom on its own.

Functional & Integrative Psychiatry moves beyond symptom management by considering physical health, nutrition, lifestyle, stress, sleep, and laboratory findings when appropriate. Claudia holds a certification from Psychiatry Redefined in Functional & Integrative Medicine for ADHD and is pursuing advanced fellowship training in Functional Psychiatry.

This approach can be especially helpful if you have tried care before and felt that only part of the picture was addressed. The evaluation takes the time to consider how your body, habits, and circumstances may be connected to what you are feeling, so the plan reflects your whole life rather than a single symptom.

Collaborative by Design

Every plan is built together. You bring your experience, goals, and preferences; Claudia brings clinical assessment and options. Medication is one possible tool, never a requirement, and every decision is made together based on your symptoms, goals, and comfort level.

Collaboration extends to your other care as well. With your permission, Claudia can coordinate with your primary care provider. When therapy would help, she provides referrals to trusted therapists and specialists and can coordinate with them so your care fits together.

You are always welcome to ask why a recommendation is being made or to take time before deciding.

Starting With an Evaluation

Care begins with a 60-minute psychiatric evaluation covering your current symptoms, history, sleep, physical health, stress, past treatment, and goals. It can include questions about nutrition, movement, and daily rhythm, because those factors can influence mood, energy, and focus.

An evaluation can clarify what may be contributing to your symptoms and give you a thoughtful starting point. Sometimes more information is needed first, and a diagnosis is never promised at a first appointment.

Bringing a list of your current medications, any recent lab results, and a few written questions can help you make the most of the time. You are welcome to share at your own pace.

Telehealth for Residents, Students, and Staff

Secure telehealth lets you meet from home, an apartment, or a private office, as long as you are physically in Michigan at the time of the visit. For students and staff, that means visits can continue during the academic year, with planning ahead for any time spent outside the state.

Care is available for adolescents, adults, and older adults. Common concerns include anxiety, depression, ADHD, sleep, stress and burnout, and life transitions. Choosing a private space where you can speak freely makes the conversation easier.

In Person When You Prefer

Some people prefer a face-to-face meeting, especially for a first evaluation. Limited in-person appointments are available at the Clinton office, 8759 Clinton Macon Rd, Clinton, MI 49236. You can choose the format that fits each visit, for example an in-person evaluation followed by telehealth follow-ups. Daytime appointments are available, with Tuesday and Wednesday sessions until 6 pm.

Ongoing Care

If your plan includes medication management, follow-up visits are typically 15-20 minutes and review what is and is not helping, along with sleep, stress, and lifestyle factors. Plans are revisited as your needs and circumstances change. GeneSight testing is also available; you can ask about GeneSight at an appointment.

For cost and insurance, see fees, insurance, and FAQs and verify coverage with the office. You can request a free 15-minute consultation through the contact page. The areas served page describes care for other communities in Michigan.
