Medication

A Thoughtful Approach to Medication

While psychiatric medications can be life-changing and medically necessary for many, they can also come with limitations and side effects. Medication is discussed as one possible tool, never a requirement, with every decision made together based on your symptoms, goals, and comfort level.

In some situations, psychotherapy alongside medication management may be the right fit. Claudia maintains strong referral relationships with trusted therapists and specialists.

What if I don't have insurance or have limited income? (sliding scale)

Mental health care should feel accessible and supportive, not overwhelming. If you do not currently have insurance or are experiencing financial hardship, please do not hesitate to reach out. In certain situations, sliding scale rates and payment arrangements may be available based on individual circumstances. The goal is to make treatment more manageable and reduce barriers to care, and cost concerns can be discussed during scheduling.

Do you prescribe medication?

Yes. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), Claudia provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management when clinically appropriate.

Do you offer psychotherapy?

In some situations, yes. Treatment decisions are based on each client's unique needs, goals, and level of care required. If we both feel she would be a good fit to provide psychotherapy in addition to medication management, that may be an option. She also maintains excellent referral connections with therapists and specialists highly experienced in their areas. Her priority is that each client receives the most appropriate, effective, and supportive care possible, even if that means connecting them with additional resources or specialized therapy services.
