Fall Bloom Mental Health
Who We Help
Fall Bloom Mental Health provides psychiatric care for adolescents, adults, and older adults located in Michigan. Each stage of life brings its own pressures, and care adapts to fit where you are.
Request a ConsultCare Across the Stages of Life
Mental health needs change over a lifetime. A teenager facing school pressure, a young adult moving out for the first time, a parent balancing work and family, and an older adult managing several health conditions each need something different from their care. The core stays the same: a thorough psychiatric evaluation, shared decisions, and a plan that fits your life.
Care centers on Psychiatric Assessment & Medication Management and Functional & Integrative Psychiatry. Medication is one possible tool, never a requirement. When therapy would help, Claudia provides referrals to trusted therapists and specialists.
Whatever your age, you are welcome to ask questions before committing to anything.
Adolescents
For teens, a parent or guardian is part of the process, from scheduling to sharing what they have noticed at home. At the same time, adolescents deserve a voice in their own care and some room to speak openly. Finding that balance is part of the work, and it is talked through with both the teen and the parent.
Teens are invited to describe their own experience, ask questions, and help shape their goals. A plan a teen understands and has a say in is more likely to feel like their own. The teens page explains how a teen evaluation works in more detail.
Young Adults
The years after high school bring big transitions: college, first jobs, new cities, and living independently. Many young adults seek an evaluation for the first time during this period, sometimes with questions about focus, mood, or anxiety that had been in the background for years. As adults, their health information is private, and they lead their own care.
Telehealth can continue from a dorm or apartment as long as you are physically in Michigan at the time of each visit, which helps care stay consistent through moves and school breaks.
Working Adults and Parents
When others depend on you, taking time for your own care can feel impossible. Tuesday and Wednesday sessions until 6 pm, telehealth from a private space, and short medication follow-up visits are meant to make care fit around work, commuting, and family rather than the other way around.
Telehealth can happen from a private space at home or work, never while driving, so care fits between obligations. Medication follow-up visits, when part of a plan, are typically 15-20 minutes.
Midlife Adults
Midlife can bring its own mix of changes: shifting roles at work, children leaving home, caring for aging parents, and changes in physical health. Stress, sleep problems, and low mood during these years deserve attention, and relationship and life transitions are part of what care can address.
Health changes, hormonal shifts, and an emptier house can all influence mood and sleep. An evaluation considers these factors together, and with your permission, Claudia can coordinate with your primary care provider.
Older Adults
Later life can bring changes in mood, anxiety, sleep, and health. Care for older adults includes a careful review of medications alongside other health conditions and, with permission, coordination with primary care. Home visits are available for geriatric patients with mobility challenges, and family caregivers can join appointments with the patient's permission.
Changes in memory or thinking are taken seriously and, when needed, referred for specialized evaluation.
Choosing Where to Start
The pages below are organized by stage of life, but you do not need to fit neatly into one. Start with whichever page feels closest to your situation, and read others if they seem relevant. A parent might read the teen page for their child and the adults and parents page for themselves. An adult child might read the older adults page while helping a parent find care.
If you are still unsure where to begin, the free 15-minute consultation is a simple next step. It is a chance to ask questions, describe what is going on in general terms, and see whether care at Fall Bloom Mental Health is a good fit. You can also think about format. Telehealth works well for many people and saves travel time, while an in-person visit at the Clinton office may feel more comfortable for others. You can choose the format that fits you best.
